Figures: 2026 tax year

What Hypertax does

Hypertax turns one T4 into a finished T1 General you print and mail. It does not send the return for you, and it does not compute your tax with AI.

Updated 24 July 2026 · 1 min read

Hypertax prepares one thing well: a federal income tax return for a person whose income comes from a job: the Canadian T1 General.

What you get

You answer questions in plain language, upload a photo of your wage slip, and check the numbers. Hypertax fills in the official form and gives you a finished PDF. You print that PDF, sign it, and post it to the CRA.

What Hypertax does not do

  • It does not send your return to the CRA. Every return leaves Hypertax as paper. See why Hypertax does not e-file.
  • It does not prepare a return for any country other than Canada.
  • It does not give you tax advice about your own situation, and it does not use AI to work out what you owe. See what the AI does.

Who it suits

Hypertax fits you if your income for 2026 is pay from an employer, reported on a T4 slip. If you ran a business, sold property, or earned money in another country, Hypertax will tell you that before you pay anything.

Hypertax uses AI for three jobs: reading your slip, rewriting tax language into plain words, and flagging oddities on the Premium tier. It never works out your tax.

This article explains a form and a process. It is general information, not tax advice about your own situation, and Hypertax does not send your return to the CRA — you print it and mail it. See the not-tax-advice notice and the rest of the help centre.
