Which returns Hypertax prepares
Hypertax prepares the Canadian T1 General with the provincial or territorial return, in every province and territory including Quebec. This page lists what is in scope and what is refused.

Hypertax covers a narrow set of returns on purpose. A narrow product that is right beats a wide product that guesses.
In scope
| Return | Slip |
|---|---|
| T1 General plus the provincial or territorial form, outside Quebec | T4 |
| T1 General with the Quebec abatement, plus the Quebec TP-1, for a Quebec resident | T4 and RL-1 |
A Quebec resident gets both returns, but they stay two returns: the federal T1 goes to the CRA and the TP-1 goes to Revenu Québec, and Hypertax needs your RL-1 as well as your T4. Read filing a Quebec return.
Out of scope
- Returns for any other country. Hypertax prepares Canadian returns only. It cannot prepare a return for someone who must also file abroad.
- Business, rental and investment income, capital gains, foreign income, and returns for someone who died during the year. Read situations Hypertax cannot handle.
You find out before you pay
The eligibility questions come first, before the upload and long before the payment screen. If Hypertax cannot prepare your return, it says so on that screen and names the reason.
