Tax information consents

You gave Hypertax your tax information for one purpose: preparing your return. Before any part of it can go to an AI vendor outside Canada, or be used by us for anything other than that return, you have to say so — separately, one purpose at a time, and never by default.

Nothing here is in force yet

Both documents are drafts awaiting review by tax counsel. Until that review is done, Hypertax asks nobody to agree to them and makes none of the disclosures or uses they describe. Every feature that would rely on one runs its no-consent path instead.

Why there are two documents and not one

Agreeing to send your information to someone else and agreeing to let us use it for something new are two different decisions, and you may well want one and not the other, so they are two documents rather than one. Agreeing to one has no effect on the other, and inside each document every purpose is a separate tick box that starts empty. There is no “agree to everything” option, and saying no to all of it leaves Hypertax working — see how Hypertax uses AI and what we keep and for how long.
